Vacancy: Coordinator for Africa node of the International Land Coalition.
The International Land Coalition (ILC) is a global alliance of intergovernmental and civil society organisations working to promote access to land for people who are landless or have insecure land rights.
The secretariat of ILC is hosted by the United Nations International Fund for Agricultural Development in Rome. As a part of the process of decentralising some of the functions of the secretariat, Kenya Land Alliance (KLA), based in Nakuru, will be hosting a node for ILC Africa.
A coordinator for the node will be based in the east African region, most probably in Nakuru, and provide support to the development of the ILC network in Africa.
An initial 12 month contract is offered at a salary commensurate with the regional nature of the post.
The contract will be renewable subject to performance and availability of funding.

La Coalition internationale pour l'accès à la terre (ILC) est une alliance mondiale d'organisations intergouvernementales et de la société civile qui travaillent pour promouvoir l'accès à la terre des populations sans terre ou qui n'ont pas des droits sur la terre sécurisés . Le secrétariat de l'ILC est hébergé par le Fonds International pour le Développement Agricole des Nations Unies qui se trouve à Rome. Etant part du processus qui vise à décentraliser certaines fonctions du secrétariat, la Kenya Land Alliance (KLA), basée à Nakuru, hébergera un noud pour ILC Afrique.
Un coordinateur sera donc basé en Afrique de l'Ouest, très probablement à Nakuru, et soutiendra le développement du réseau ILC en Afrique.
Un contrat initial de 12 mois sera offert avec un salaire reflétant la nature régionale du poste, il sera renouvelable en fonction des performances et de la disponibilité de fonds.
