GDLN Global Development Learning Network

The Global Development Learning Network (GDLN) is a global partnership of learning centers (GDLN Affiliates) that offer the use of advanced information and communication technologies to connect people working in development around the world. By applying tools and services developed in the field of distance learning - learning that takes place when participants in an event are separated by space and time - GDLN Affiliates enable organizations, teams, and individuals around the world to communicate, share knowledge, and learn from each others' experiences in a timely and cost-effective manner.

GEsource

GEsource is a free information resource for Geography and the Environment, and is aimed at staff, students and researchers in the HE and FE communities. Alongside a growing range of additional services, GEsource includes a core database of high-quality Internet resources catalogued by subject specialists across a number of disciplines - the environment, general geography, human geography, physical geography and techniques and approaches.

GIS Development

GIS Development strives to promote and propagate the usage of geospatial technologies in various areas of development for the community at large. It remains dedicated to foster the growing network of those interested in geo-informatics worldwide and Asia in particular. Through its activities, it assists community and government in developing their capabilities, and policies and facilitate knowledge transfer to grassroots and strengthen the productivity and management capabilities

Global Development Network

The Global Development Network (GDN) is a global network of research and policy institutes working together to address the problems of national and regional development. GDN:

  • Supports multidisciplinary research in social sciences
  • Promotes the generation of local knowledge in developing and transition countries
  • Produces policy relevant knowledge on a global scale
  • Builds research capacity to advance development and alleviate poverty
  • Facilitates knowledge sharing among researchers and policymakers
  • Disseminates development knowledge to the public and policymakers

GSDI Global Spatial Data Infrastrucutre Association

The GSDI Association is an inclusive organization of organizations, agencies, firms, and individuals from around the world. The purpose of the organization is to promote international cooperation and collaboration in support of local, national and international spatial data infrastructure developments that will allow nations to better address social, economic, and environmental issues of pressing importance.

GSDRC The Governance and Social Development Resource Centre

GSDRC supports the knowledge needs of the international development community in relation to governance, conflict and social development. Funded by the UK DFID, the GSDRC aims to help reduce poverty by informing policymaking and enhancing professional knowledge and competencies.
