IAPAD - Integrated Approach to Particiaptory Development

IAPDA acts as focal point for sharing information and technical progress on community-based mapping and Public Participation GIS (PPGIS). The website provides ample documentation on Participatory 3D Modelling (P3DM), an efficient tool for merging indigenous technical knowledge and traditional spatial information. P3DM applications include community-based natural resources management, collaborative research and planning, resource use, control and tenure, and related conflict management.

IASCP - International Association for the Study of Common Property
The International Association for the Study of Common Property (IASCP), founded in 1989, is a nonprofit Association devoted to understanding and improving institutions for the management of environmental resources that are (or could be) held or used collectively by communities in developing or developed countries. The Association's Goals are:
  • to encourage exchange of knowledge among diverse disciplines, areas, and resource types;
  • to foster mutual exchange of scholarship and practical experience; and,
  • to promote appropriate institutional design.

IATP - Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy

ICARDA - International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas

Established in 1977, the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) is one of the 15 centers strategically located all over the world and supported by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). With its main research station and offices based in Aleppo, Syria, ICARDA works through a network of partnerships with national, regional and international institutions, universities, non-governmental organizations and ministries in the developing world; and with advanced research institutes in industrialized countries.

ICRISAT - International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics
The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) is a non-profit, non-political, international organization for science-based agricultural development. ICRISAT conducts research on sorghum, pearl millet, chickpea, pigeonpea and groundnut - crops that support the livelihoods of the poorest of the poor in the semi-arid tropics encompassing 48 countries. ICRISAT also shares information and knowledge through capacity building, publications and ICTs. Established in 1972, it is one of 15 Centers supported by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR).

IDRC International Development Research Centre
IDRC is a Canadian Crown corporation that works in close collaboration with researchers from the developing world in their search for the means to build healthier, more equitable, and more prosperous societies.
IFAT - International Fair Trade Association
A global movement of over one million small-scale producers and workers organized in as many as 3,000 grassroots organizations and their umbrella structures in over 50 countries in the South.

IFDC - International Fertilizer Development Centre

IFDC is a public, nonprofit, international organization, which was founded in 1974 to assist in the quest for global food security.  The Center's goal is to increase agricultural productivity in a sustainable manner through the development and transfer of effective, environmentally sound plant nutrient technology and agricultural marketing expertise.  IFDC conducts its work independently and on a scientifically sound basis.

IFSA - International Farming System Association

IFSA is a global association, incorporated as a non-profit educational corporation in the Philippines, with an international membership consisting of individual researchers and  practitioners and various regional associations and networks involved in farming systems related work around the world.  The Association's primary function is to foster and support the growing number of regional farming systems associations and networks.

IIIRM - International Institute for Indigenous Resource Management
IIIRM is a law and policy research institute. Established in Denver, Colorado in 1997, the Institute's cadre of internationally-based legal scholars and researchers work on cutting-edge projects designed to empower native peoples by examining the role the law can play in establishing and enhancing indigenous peoples' control over and management of their lands and resources.
IIRR - International Institute of Rural Reconstruction
The International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR) is a rural development organization with 80 years experience, working in Africa, Asia and Latin America. They promote people-centered development through capacity building for poor people and their communities, development organizations and agencies.
IISD - International Institute on Sustainable Development
IISD contributes to sustainable development by advancing policy recommendations on international trade and investment, economic policy, climate change, measurement and assessment , and natural resources management. Indigenous Knowledge Programe (World Bank):
This website opens a gateway to development approaches that rely on traiditonal knowledge systems to help achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Inter-American Alliance for Accountability on Real Property Rights
The Alliance aims to assist the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean to strengthen Real Property Rights, in compliance with the agreement signed by the Presidents of the various countries of the Region during the Presidential Summit held in Monterrey, Mexico in January of this year.
