RDI is a nonprofit organization of attorneys helping the rural poor in developing countries obtain legal rights to land.

The Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD), previously known as Regional Centre for Services in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing (RCSSMRS) was established in Nairobi, Kenya in 1975 under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the then Organization of African Unity (OAU). Its founder members are Kenya, Uganda, Somalia, Tanzania and Malawi and the Government of the Republic of Kenya hosts it. It is a non-profit intergovernmental organization and currently has 14 contracting member States, namely: Botswana, Comoros, Ethiopia, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Namibia, Somalia, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.

The RCPLA network is an alliance of seventeen different organisations from around the world, that strives to promote the empowerment of the disadvantaged through participation in their own development. The Network helps researchers and practitioners share information and experience about Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) approaches, and encourages the improved implementation of these approaches globally. The Network hopes to further the role of participatory approaches into governance structures to create change. Each member of the Network brings with it specific strengths, but are united in their desire to provide access to a variety of resources.

Now more than 100 years old, the Royal African Society today is Britain's primary Africa organisation, promoting Africa's cause. Through its journal, African Affairs, and by organising meetings, discussions and other activities, the Society strengthens links between Africa and Britain and encourages understanding of Africa and its relations with the rest of the world.

The Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) is an independent centre of knowledge and expertise in the areas of international and intercultural cooperation. The aims of KIT are to contribute to sustainable development, poverty alleviation, and cultural preservation and exchange.
