Albania

Albania is a country characterized by limited agricultural land, although its geographical position, climate, and natural resources potential are favourable to agriculture and rural development. A legal framework comprised of several laws and bylaws has been guiding the transition from a centralized to a market oriented sector as part of the decentralization and privatization process of the last twenty years. Despite this, land rights and registration remain hot topics, in many cases even causing armed intracommunity conflicts.
