Engaging journalists on agrarian issues through training

The Sajogyo Institute in collaboration with the Consortium for Agrarian Reform and support from Ikatan Jurnalis Televisi Indonesia (IJTI) and International Land Coalition Asia, a training was held for journalists with the theme "Engaging Journalists on Agrarian Issues." The training was held on 18th to 20th of May 2018 in Jambuluwuk, Ciawi, Bogor, West Java.
Land governance is an important part of natural resource management. Senegal has recently adopted a land policy, which opens up prospects for a long-promised, but long-delayed, land reform. One suggestion is that land indicator monitoring facilitates consensus building, thus contributing to the promotion of peace.
CHR and ANGOC conduct a consultation on securing human rights in business ventures

The Commission on Human Rights of the Philippines (CHR) in partnership with the Asian NGO Coalition for Agrarian Reform and Rural Development (ANGOC), with the support of the International Land Coalition (ILC), organized a multi-stakeholder consultation on the Philippine National Action Plan (NAP) on Business and Human Rights last 11 May 2018, at the CHR Central Office in Quezon City, Philippines.
One year after the landmark victory against the government of Kenya, the Indigenous Ogiek Peoples will come together on May 26 to reflect on the lessons learnt and groom support to make the next steps successful.
Connecting strategies: A round-table discussion with ILC members in Asia on land issues

ILC Asia in collaboration with CIFOR held a roundtable discussion on global land related themes, presenting speakers from various ILC member organizations such as FAO, Oxfam, AIPP, KPA, WRF and CIFOR. The meeting was held in the framework of ILC Asia facilitator and focal point team building, which took place in Bogor Indonesia on 17-19 April 2018.
