Approaching the GLF 2018, Government of Indonesia convenes a high level meeting at the Presidential Palace

More bricks are being paved to complete the journey toward the Global Land Forum 2018. Hosted by the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), relevant ministry institutions were attending a high-level meeting to weave an engagement toward the preparation of the GLF, taking place at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Indonesia.
Indonesia’s Java Island is urged to be included in the Agrarian Reform Implementation

As agrarian reform is one of the agenda included within the current Indonesian’s Government, Indonesian CSOs under the KNPA (National Alliance for Agrarian Reform), thereby, were attending a meeting with Ministry of Spatial Planning/Land Agency on May 3rd 2017, aiming to build dialogue on Agrarian reform policy progress.

As Indonesia is entering its second year of its NES (National Engagement Strategy), departing from the lessons learnt from the year one implementation, the priority areas are now correspond to the ILC commitments on people-selected land governance (PCLG), dealing with strong small-scale farming systems, inclusive decision-making, transparent and accessible information, and protection for land rights defenders.
ILC Member Vidya Bhushan Receives Dr Ambedkar International Award 2016!

The ILC would like to extend a warm congratulations to Vidya Buhshan, founder of ILC member organisation Social Development Foundation (SDF) on being awarded the Dr Ambedkar International Award for 2016!
A NES mission was conducted with the Asia Desk and RCU to review the achievements of NES Cambodia in the past year and finalize the plans and proposals for 2016 implementation and onwards in the light of the new ILC strategy and Roadmap using the new NES toolkit.
