Defending Wirikuta ancestral lands from mining activities
Wirikuta is a sacred territory recognized internationally, due to its natural and cultural value, by UNESCO. It is also of great significance to the survival of the Wixarika (Huichol) Indigenous People. A comprehensive intervention has been carried out to protect the crucial pilgrimage location.
