Option 1: Land and Gender in Mukono District,one hour east of Kampala.
Issue: Eviction of women from households and land by family members due to lack of sufficient legal protection. ULA and three of its member organizations purchased 50 acres of land for 50 women evictees. |

Option 2: Land Rights Literacy in Luweero District, one hour north of Kampala.
Issue: Communities that have faced massive evictions from their land. The Land Rights Centres are involved in strategizing with local people to identify lasting solutions and prevent eviction of other communities.

Land and Rule of Law. The previous planned visit to communities in Mabira Forest could not proceed due to current difficulties. The communities are coming to the Assembly and will present the issues and the likely effects on their livelihoods. Please refer to the description of the intended field trip. |
