IPP: Annotated Bibliography
This annotated bibliography provides short summaries of key documents on the land rights of indigenous peoples and pastoralists prepared by the ILC, and its members and partners. Also included are other materials relevant to land access and land rights of indigenous peoples and pastoralists.
ILC Publications
Mursi pastoralists motivate for land rights in the Omo National Park. ILC, with ERMIS Africa and First peoples Worldwide, supported a visit to community-run conservation areas in Kenya, as part of a capacity building initiative to enable Mursi to organise themselves and lobby for a similar approach that would prevent their expulsion from the Omo National Park.

Includes case studies which demonstrate a diversity of institutional systems that have developed in response to uncertain and unpredictable pasture environments. It concludes with a summary of land privatization reforms that threaten pastoralist livelihoods and the development approaches that address land tenure and access security for pastoralists.

On y retrouve les études de cas qui démontrent une diversité des systèmes institutionnels qui se sont développés en réponse à un habitat variable. Le rapport conclue avec un résumé de la réforme agraire qui menace la subsistance des pasteurs et un résumé de l’approche développementale qui adresse la propriété du terrain et l’accès au terrain.
