Mobilization and Development (MODE) Nepal, primarily dedicated to the sustainable development of Nepal, is a non-political, non-profit making and non-governmental organization (NGO) registered with HMG/N under the Institution Registration Act 1976 and affiliated to Social Welfare Council (SWC).

Objectives:
MODE-Nepal has the following objectives:
Make aware and socially mobilize community (including minority ethnic, socially and economically depressed) to enhance their capacity for development planning and program implementation and thereby to help establishing a self-governing grassroots level institutions
Undertake policy and action research studies in area of socio-economic, agriculture, natural resources management and rural development that induce direct or indirect community welfare
Implement action programs that enhance knowledge and skills of the rural people and help uplift their way of living.
Activities/Main areas of work:
Social mobilization and empowerment through formal and non-formal education activities for enhancing local governance and human rights.
Technical supports on local level planning and implementation, training services on health, sanitation and population control with particular attention to women and children.
Support for community development, resource management, drinking water supply, group work for education and skill development.
Promotion for micro-enterprises, micro financing and income generating activities such as cash crop production, agro-forestry and livestock development through integrated rural development programmes.
Implementation of developmental programmes like natural resource management, conservation and environmental planning, for sustainable livelihood of the people including women and disadvantaged groups of the community.
Community-based infrastructure development.
Research studies on policy and strategies on various aspects of rural development.
Institutional capacity building of the community people and their organizations through awareness creation, training and mobilization.
