Message from the ILC Secretariat on the death of Mr Ndiogou Fall
ROPPA

It is with great sadness that the ILC secretariat has heard of the death of Mr Ndiogou Fall, former President and member of the Council of the West Africa Farmer’s Platform ROPPA (Réseau des organisations paysannes et des producteurs agricoles de l’Afrique de l’Ouest).

His  death occurred on Thursday 5 May, 2011, and the funeral took place on Friday, May 6 in Touba, Senegal.
Mr Fall worked closely with several ILC members, including IFAD, and he also helped strengthen and diversify the collaboration between ROPPA and ILC.

Mr Fall was known for his strong and tireless defense of the rights of family farmers, including their land rights. The ILC secretariat wishes to extend their condolences to his colleagues and family, and to recognise the immense contribution that he made to organising and giving a voice to family farmers.
