Bread for the World is a nationwide Christian citizens' movement seeking justice for the world's hungry people by lobbying the nation's decision makers. BFW Institute seeks justice for hungry people by engaging in research and education on policies related to hunger and development.
BFW members are organized by congressional district into local networks nationwide. Members of Congress are contacted, and media attention is generated about national legislation and other efforts that address hunger.

Bread for the World Institute seeks justice for hungry people by engaging in research and eduction on policies related to hunger and development.

| Programmes and Activities |
Bread for the World Institute's hunger policy education materials include an annual report on hunger and international development issues. Its Hunger Free Communities (formerly TAHL) initiative is a program of advocacy education and leadership development designed to strengthen constituencies that are committed to reducing poverty and hunger. The Institute also serves as secretariat for the Alliance to End Hunger, a coalition of religious bodies, foundations, labor unions, corporate leaders, advocacy groups, civil-rights groups and charitable organizations. The mission of the Alliance is to change public opinion and policy to significantly reduce hunger in the United States and internationally.
