Background:
The Land Access Movement of South Africa (LAMOSA) is an independent community based organization (CBO) advocating for land and agrarian rights, and substantive democracy through facilitating sustainable development. It was established in 1991 to mobilze dispossessed communities to collectively fight discriminary colonial and apartheid land laws, racial and gender discrimination and poverty. In partnership with government and civil society organization,s it works in fojur provinces: Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Northwest and Guateng.
Goals:To combat poverty, inequality and oppression through People Centred Development (PCD), advocacy for access to land that was brutally and forcefully taken from ancestors, substantive democracy, profound social, economic and political structural transformation, and facilitation of sustainable development for prosperity. |
