The Southern Alliance for Indigenous Resources (SAFIRE) is a Zimbabwean Non Governmental Organization (NGO) which has been operational since 1994, with a mission to assist rural communities in economic development through improved management of their natural resources. Despite its geographical location SAFIRE collaborates with many regional partners from where it derives its regional influence.

SAFIRE's vision is to be the regional leader and service provider of first choice in benefit-driven sustainable natural resources management by rural communities.

The values of the organization are:
Integrity, Participation, Accountability and Transparency, Innovation, High Quality Service, Teamwork, Fairness and Professionalism.
To diversify the live hoods of the rural poor communities through the utilisation, commercialisation and sustainable management of natural resources.
To enhance food security in rural communities through the promotion of local varieties, adapted crop varieties and other conservation farming techniques.
To promote the generation and dissemination of information for use by communities in their development processes.
