- ILC supported the following preparatory activities:
These activities, while feeding into ICARRD, were supported because the results were part of the ILC's country programmes for 2006. The activities were moved forward so they could have the additional benefit of also feeding the outcomes into ICARRD.
- Summary of Special Thematic Sessions organized by ILC:

Mar 8 - Engaging Governments and Civil-Society: the Experience of National and Regional Network, with panellist from the Andean Forum, West Africa, Indonesia and Central America and 3 discussants from the UN System Network, IFAP and ANGOC.

Mar 9 - Administering Land Rights: Alternatives to Individual Property Ownership PDF 18KB with panellists from Brazil (Amazonia), Uganda and South Africa plus discussants from Iran, Roppa (West Africa ) and IFAD. Statement by International Land Coalition | Spanish | French

ILC was a panellist on the UNDP Special Thematic Session Land Rights Reform and Governance in Africa on March 9. This is based on the joint work that ILC and UNDP have been undertaking in Africa over the past 12-15 months.

ILC was invited to be an official speaker on one of the Commissions and one of the Panels.

- ILC has a delegation of 24 persons including 4 staff and 20 partner organisations. This event has a unique importance to the members, many who will participate in both the official and the CSO events.
