The first workshop with participants from 8 countries in Eastern and Southern Africa took place in Nairobi,
19-23 May. More than 30 participants spent a week finding out more about the small grants programme to be carried out by MISR and PLAAS, presenting their ideas for action-oriented research and receiving feedback from their peers, and learning about gender sensitive methodologies, action research and proposal wirting, amongst other things.
