ILC Asia Regional Coordinator
Mirgul previously worked in the area of research, development of guidelines, strategic planning, capacity building, M&E and project management. She was a Project Coordinator in the research institution Public Fund “Rural Development Fund”, managing projects in the area of sustainable pasture use and conflict management/resolution. She was actively involved in implementation of different development projects and is an author of various studies in the area of natural resources management. She was also elected as a member to the ILC Asia Steering committee.
Before joining ILC, last 4.5 years Mirgul worked as a Project Coordinator at the UNDP in the Kyrgyz Republic and managed different projects in the area of natural resource management, biodiversity conservation and coordinated regional component on snow leopards protection for 12 range countries. She has an extensive experience working with the local communities, promotion of the participatory approach, land management, have also strong experience in the area of reforms on protected areas and forest management. Mirgul holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Management from the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
