Antoine Kalinganire holds a PhD in Forest Genetics from the Australian National University, Canberra. Antoine has built a reputation in participatory tree domestication and tree biodiversity conservation in the dry Sahelian zone, a semi-arid landscape stretching from the Gambia to Chad. His current activities concentrate on agroforestry innovations for evergreen agriculture for dryland Africa and mitigating the effect of climate change through increased use of trees for intensifying, diversifying and buffering farm systems. Antoine joined the World Agroforestry Centre in 2004.
