Elisabetta joined the ILC in 2013. Despite being a water expert, Elisabetta has always been involved in human rights and women's rights and passionately focuses on ILC’s commitment 4 (Women’s Land rights and Gender Justice) and Commitment 10 (Land and Environmental Rights Defenders) and has travelled extensively to promote the uptake of gender justice tools. One of her favourite memories from one of her missions is dancing with a group of Rwandan women who had created their own organisation to overcome the impact of genocide. When she’s not working with the ILC, Elisabetta teaches "Water, a contemporary issue" and "Gender and Development" at SciencesPo, Paris.
She holds a PhD in Social Sciences, an MA in Anthropology of the Ancient World, and a BA in Classics.
