Bangladesh

Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries in the world, with a total population of about 161 million living within a territory of barely 144,000 square kilometres, and mostly dependent on agriculture. In the absence of effective agrarian reform, insecurity of tenure for small landholders and landless women and men who live on and from the land have become issues that affect the human rights, community livelihoods, food security, and food sovereignty of grassroots communities.
