About ILC Africa


The ILC regional platform in Africa has 61 CSO members and is overseen by a steering committee comprised of one civil society member from each sub-region (West, Central, East and South). The Regional Coordination Unit is hosted by the Environment Liaison Centre International (ELCI), based in Nairobi, Kenya. CSO members represent 20 countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. In addition to these countries, members such as EAFF, LNWA, PROPAC and ROPPA rmultiple countries in Central, Eastern and Western Africa.

The Environmental Liason Centre International (Kenya) is the current host of the Regional Corrdination Unit.
