Aneesh Thillenckery is rewarded by the Annual Vishnu Prabhakar Sammaan Award
ILC Asia Family member from India, Aneesh Thillenckery has been conferred upon with the Annual Vishnu Prabhakar Sammaan.
Aneesh has been acknowledged for his notable work in the field of social work, with special emphasis on efforts for the upliftment of tribals through advocacy on Land, Water and Forest. Aneesh, the National Convenor of Ekta Parishad, a peoples based mass organization has been actively involved in several conflict resolution processes and mobilization of youth for raising the voices of the marginalised communities.
Aneesh joins Kumar Anupam, Naz Khune, Pratibha Singh and Deepender Vajpayee, all who are notable figures in their respected field. Vishnu Prabhakar was a renowned hindi writer know for his stories, drama, novels and travelogues. To add up to his credit he was awarded the third highest civilian honor "Padma Bhushan" by the Government of India.
The award is jointly hosted by the Gandhi Hindustani Sahitya Sabha and the Vishnu Prabhakar Pratishthan, and the ceremony was being organised at the Gandhi Hindustani Sahitya Sabha Auditorium.
