ILC Asia member in Cambodia, Star Kampuchea was supporting a signing ceremony of seven (7) Community Agreements for seven (7) community forestry (CF) sites in Sophyrom pagoda, Sna Ansa village, Sna Ansa commune, Krokor district, Prusat province on the 22nd December of 2016.

Press conference: A sudden attack upon indigenous people and Bengali farmers was takes place at Shahebganj Bagda farm in Gobindaganj upazila (sub-district) under Gaibandha district by police, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and local goons on 6 November 2016 hired by Rangpur sugar mills authority & influential political elements aiming to evict indigenous and Bengali farmers.

Philippines’s National Engagement Strategy (NES) has recently launched a website to promote its activities – http://ilc-nes.ph/. It features stories and campaigns involving farmers, fisher folks, and Indigenous Peoples claiming access to and control of land and other natural resources. Also available on the website there are documents, reports and materials produced by the multi-stakeholder platform.

EktaParishad, a non-violent, people’s movement that works for the land, water and forest rights of the marginalized communities in India is now having several actions to proceed the movement on ensuring Homestead land rights to crores of homeless families through the ‘National Homestead Land Rights Act’. The majority of homeless would have got right to land through this Act.
