MASTERCLASS - Measuring the Impact of Land Tenure and Governance Interventions: A Guide for Experts and Practitioners

Deadline:
03/07/2019

Date: Wednesday 3 July 2019
Time: 09:00 to 12:00
Location: Room 115, Janskerkhof 2-3, Utrecht University

This masterclass presents the Guideline for Impact Evaluation of Land Tenure and Governance Interventions developed through a joint collaboration of GLTN partners: UN-Habitat and IFAD. As governments, private sector, donors and other development partners continue to invest in land tenure and governance interventions, there has been an increase in demand for better documentation and communication of key outcomes and impact attributed to such interventions including food security, poverty reduction, increased income among other impact areas for policy decisions and in support of national, regional and global development agendas including the SDGs. The Guideline for Impact Evaluation of Land Tenure and Governance Interventions includes a robust ‘Theory of Change’ with clear results chain that enable assessment of high-level outcomes and impact of land related interventions. The session will underscore approaches to impact evaluation, application in programming and share best practices towards bridging the gap between theory and practice.

For registration, please send an e-mail to: landac.geo@uu.nl before the 15th June.

Pre-conference side-events are free of charge, yet places are limited. Priority will be given to those who have registered for the LANDac Annual International Conference 2019.

This year, the LANDac conference is about Land Governance in Transition: How support transformations that work for people and nature? Central questions revolve around the long-term dynamics around land, water and food production – see more details here: https://www.landgovernance.org/landac-conference-2019/
