Community organization and leadership to boost productive development

Since its beginnings as an organization, the Guarani Indigenous Community of Pananti has been in constant mobilization in order to achieve territorial consolidation. From 2013 onwards, it concentrated on the economic aspect of its agricultural development strategy, placing emphasis on peanut production. Once the activity was defined as the priority, the community negotiated with public authorities to build a Peanut Processing Plant. The elaboration of the Participatory Community Development Plan strengthened the initiative to continue the organized work on cultivation, processing and commercialization of this legume.
