Formation and strengthening of Environmental Defender Groups for the defense of land and territory.

For the past three years, an initiative promoted by Fundación Plurales, the Southern Women's Fund and CCIMCAT has been implemented to strengthen the organizational, technical, political and financial capacities of 7,000 indigenous women members of Environmental Defender Groups (GDA) in the Chaco region of Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay. The women, who fight for the defense of the land and its territories, strengthened their advocacy and negotiation capacities with governmental actors and within their own communities.

This good practice is linked to the CBI: Rural Women and Right to Land, and Semi-Arids.
