The International Land Coalition is seeking a skilled Web Developer with proven experience in Python and Wagtail CMS to support the development and maintenance of our two Wagtail-powered websites: www.landcoalition.org and www.landexglobal.org.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance ILC’s two Wagtail-based websites (www.landcoalition.org and www.landexglobal.org)
- Implement new features and improve user experience in collaboration with our communications and data teams
- Contribute to the automation of internal data flows and inputs from external databases
- Ensure website performance, security, and accessibility
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
- Support content editors with CMS-related tasks and improvements
Requirements:
- Proven experience with Wagtail CMS and Django
- Strong proficiency in Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Understanding of data handling, computation and security
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks and responsive design
- Understanding of SEO, accessibility, and web performance best practices
- Experience with structured data visualization through charts, tables and interactive content
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote, multicultural environment.
- Familiarity with multilingual website management
- Ability to translate design mockups into clean, accessible, and performant code
