FAO E-Learning: Collaboration and Advocacy Techniques

This module is part of FAO's Communications E-Learning Programme.

This course illustrates a wide range of tools and techniques that can be used to improve collaboration and knowledge sharing, and provides guidance on conducting collaborative food security assessments. The course also introduces the concept of advocacy and the various advocacy techniques required to influence different audiences.

Audience

The target audience of the e-learning course includes:

  • Mid-level managers, technical staff, field personnel who are involved in the collection, management, analysis, and reporting of food security information.
  • Planners, policy formulators and programme managers who are involved in monitoring progress in poverty reduction, and meeting food security goals and targets.

Content

The course consists of 3 lessons, of approximately 45 to 90 minutes duration each:

  • Lesson 2 Deciding on a collaborative assessment
