INDIGENOUS PEOPLES

A teacher, painter and poet, I am also an activist committed to the cause of the Amazigh, the indigenous people of North Africa

Born in El Hajeb, Morocco, I campaign for our land, cultural, identity and linguistic rights. A founding member of the Amazigh community network AZUL, I have represented it on the ILC Council since 2018. Active on a national and international level, I look at addressing specific issues faced by Amazigh and indigenous peoples. I lead this fight in Morocco as well as at the United Nations for the recognition of the rights of the Amazigh over their Lands, Territory and Natural Resources.
