I am the Deputy Executive Director at the Association for Land Reform and Development (ALRD) in Bangladesh

I started my career from difficult rural settings in Bangladesh and from there have taken on increasingly challenging roles, for example for different I/NGOs in Bangladesh, and in UN-processes. Over the years, my expertise developed in the areas of human rights, and women’s land rights in particular. I studied a Master's in Sociology, with Development and social structure analysis as major electives. I am a Governing Board member of Asian NGO Coalition for Agriculture and Rural Development-ANGOC, Manila; Chairperson of the Executive Board of an INGO named SLOPB in Bangladesh; and Executive Committee member of the NGO Bangladesh Disaster Preparedness Center-BDPC. I served as CSO ILC Co-Chair (2013-2015 terms).
