ILC provides a space where some of the most difficult land-related issues can be brought to the table for open and constructive dialogue. ILC is a coalition where diversity is its strength, because when we reach consensus it is all the more powerful in shaping the global land rights and land governance agenda.

BANDUNG, INDONESIA

Agrarian reform and protecting land and environmental defenders are two urgent areas for action called for by members of the International Land Coalition in the Bandung declaration. 

ADOPTED BY ILC'S 8TH GLOBAL ASSEMBLY OF MEMBERS IN 2018, FOLLOWING THE GLOBAL LAND FORUM "UNITED FOR LAND RIGHTS, PEACE AND JUSTICE".

TIRANA, ALBANIA

Members called on all actors to actively promote pro-poor, people-centred and environmentally sustainable governance of land and other natural resources. They strongly denounced all forms of land grabbing and in a spirit of mutual exchange, commonly defined the practice for future reference.

The Declaration highlighted a collective commitment to work together for land rights and peace. It declared that providing secure access to land and natural resources for producers is a vital step to finding lasting peaceful solutions to addressing rural poverty.
