Africa Data Lead
Judith Atukunda, a professional in land surveying and geomatics, joined ILC in January 2024 as the Africa Data Lead. With a strong background in these fields, Judith has been at the forefront of advocating for positive changes in land governance practices in Uganda.
Her impactful leadership includes coordinating the Uganda Land Observatory, where she played a pivotal role in driving advocacy efforts to promote transparency and accountability in land investments. Notably, Judith's contributions extend to supporting the development of National Spatial Guidelines for integrating data from Certificates of Customary Ownership into the Uganda National Land Information System, showcasing her commitment to shaping national policies for enhanced land tenure security through strengthening the land data ecosystem.
Combining technical proficiency with a passion for advocacy, Judith is poised to leverage data-driven insights to drive evidence-based decision-making and foster sustainable land governance practices across Africa.
