Resource Mobilization and Visibility
Giacomo joined ILC in May 2024 as a Consultant in Resource Mobilization, Partnership, and External Relations. In January 2025, he also became part of the EMENA Resource Mobilization team, driven by his deep interest in the region’s unique challenges and opportunities. Prior to these roles, he gained valuable experience working in the Office of the Secretary and in the Global Engagement, Partnership, and Resource Mobilization Division at IFAD. Giacomo also served at the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy City to the Rome-based Agencies, further honing his skills in diplomacy and international cooperation.
With a Master’s degree in International Relations and European Politics from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan and having completed a one-year exchange program in Argentina, he combines a strong academic background with a global perspective. Born in Biella (Italy), Giacomo is passionate about geopolitics, development, climate change, Arctic issues, and diplomacy. He also enjoys traveling, exploring diverse cultures and landscapes.
In his free time he volunteers by serving meals to those in need in Rome, reflecting a strong commitment to social justice and community service.
