Mission
The organisation’s mission is to inform, educate, defend, protect and represent consumers. CICODEV envisions a world where citizens are aware of the impact of their production models and consumer choices on trade, the economy, the environment and the fight against poverty, and act accordingly.
Objectives
CICODEV’s objectives are to promote the emergence of a movement of citizen consumers who aware of the impact of their consumer choices on trade, the economy, the environment and development, to thus promote choices and models of citizen consumption that are conducive to development and to the fight against poverty. Among CICODEV´s objectives there is also the promotion of the rights and duties of citizen consumers, with special emphasis on the promotion of consumption for the most underprivileged citizens.
Constituencies
CICODEV’s constituencies include policy makers, consumers, civil society organizations and producers and suppliers of goods and services.
