In a 5 year period, 12 platforms and 31 members implemented a Gender Audit (8 to 9 audits per year in average). 6 of these audits have been conducted as peer-to peer.
ILC started providing financial and technical support to members in conducting Gender Audits in 2019/2020. In 2022, ILC started giving priority to platforms, consistently with 2022-2030 ILC Strategy.
In total 10 Gender Audits have been scaled up through the implementation of Gender Action Plans, 9 of these (6 members and 3 platforms) have been implemented in 2024.
More Gender Action Plans will be supported in 2025 and 2026 as follow up of previously conducted gender audits.
Every year ILC launches a call to provide technical and financial support to members interested in implementing Gender Audits and/or Gender Action Plans.
Members appreciated above all the technical support received, followed by methodology and financial support. Which leads them to consider gender audits as impactful on their work.
Interaction with members who previously conducted an audit is also considered relevant and ILC members appreciate learning and knowledge sharing opportunities.
Supporting ILC members and platforms in conducting Gender Audit and in implementing Gender Action Plans is a strategic and strong component in the implementation of ILC Gender Justice Pledge.
