Altantuya is the President of the National Association of Mongolian Agricultural Cooperatives, one of the leading organizations in the agriculture and cooperative sector of Mongolia.
She has extended her knowledge in the sphere of rural development and cooperatives and led the implementation of a significant number of projects. She was the Тeam leader for the developing “Master plan for herder cooperatives’ development” and National consultant for adapting ILO’s “My. Coop –Managing your agricultural cooperatives” package into the Mongolian context, the National Coordinator for Strengthening CSOs-LA partnership in the agriculture sector project, the Expert for the Livestock and agriculture marketing, World bank, GAFSP, the Member of the drafting group for revising Mongolian Law on Cooperatives, and the National Coordinator for the Asia-Pacific Farmers Program, IFAD-EU. She is currently the chairperson of the Asian Farmers Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA), the vice chairperson of the Mongolian National Cooperative Alliance (MNCA), and the president of NAMAC, moreover, she represents NAMAC and Mongolian cooperative movement on the Boards of several professional organizations.
Mrs.Altantuya received her degrees from the University of Humanities of Mongolia and improved her skills by participating in different international and national training courses in cooperative management, rural development, project management, land governance, and poverty reduction.
