Alice Morris has 30 years of experience working on issues affecting the marginalized and vulnerable communities, including those arising out of land acquisition, lack of access to land and productive resources, natural and man-made disasters, governance failures in urbanization, and denial of rights and entitlements. She has collaborated with local, national, and international development agencies and academic institutions. Worked on decentralized governance focussing on local self-governance institutions, women in local governance and promotion of civic engagement to make governance more accountable. She has an M. Phil. in Economics, from Jawaharlal Nehru University studying at the Centre for Development Studies, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. She represents Working Group for Women and Land Ownership (WGWLO), India.
