Mission
SARRA's mission is to develop knowledge and insights related to the guiding philosophies, frameworks and strategies for achieving sustainable development of underdeveloped countries; to enhance knowledge and skills for building working partnerships with rural communities; and to design strategies for participatory planning, implementation, monitoring, feedback and evaluation.
SARRA was established in May 1984, with a view to function as a training resource agency in South Asia for enhancing the capabilities of grassroots rural development agencies to promote participatory, integrated and sustainable development practices leading to achieving the empowerment of the people.
