Mission
The Cooperative's mission is to achieve a change of attitude in the traditional role of rural women.
Objectives
The goal of the Union is to build a strong, cooperative organization with leadership capacity, able to facilitate training processes for the development of other female partners, as to be able to exercise their full rights and duties from a gender perspective. Additionally, the Union aims to strengthen the capacities of its members, enabling them to influence the public spaces at a local, national and regional level, for the promotion and development of policies for the benefit of rural women.
Constituencies
The Unión Cooperativa Las Brumas is a network of women producers, active in the Nicaraguan rural areas, that, with recognized leadership, influences public policies at the national level and influences global policies for the welfare and sustainable human development of rural women.
