In 2016, ILC, together with Oxfam and RRI (Rights and Resources International) launched the Land Rights Now campaign in solidarity with the struggles of Indigenous Peoples and local communities seeking to secure their land rights.
Land Rights Now aims to amplify the voices of those defend their land rights worldwide through a public campaign that mobilises and engages active citizens, media, communities and
organisations nationally and globally to exercise pressure on governments and raise awareness of the key role secure collective land rights play in sustainable development
Since its launch, over 800 organisations and over 40,000 individuals from all corners of the world have signed up and many have joined the annual global mobilisations.
